out and about

It’s been a busy year. Have I mentioned that yet? I have? Oh ok, I’ll probably shut up about it (at some point). Opportunities to dress have… well, they’ve existed, but having both the time and inclination to do anything about it has been an issue. I had a goal to dress up once a month, or twelve times this year. At last count, I was at nine, so there’s still a way to go. That said, during the last few months of the year, I made some progress on that front. So let’s revisit that. (You might have seen […]

Getting back into the swing of things

Many years ago, I made a promise to my wife that if and when she became pregnant, as a show of solidarity, I would sport a beard the whole time for her benefit, as a lover of a good beard. Then, at long last, sometime last year she got pregnant. Thus began the long hiatus of Liz. Actually, that’s probably not fair. My dressing up had slowed to a crawl before that, and I hadn’t really dressed at work for many, many months. I suppose that I was already on a down-swing, and the bearded-ness, and general mental-fuzziness from there […]

Dressing again after a long hiatus

I am myself a crossdresser, lucky to have an encouraging girlfriend, but I’m still on the closet. My outings are as a male wearing girls clothes, jeans or blouses. I have to say here that I don’t live in such a forward-thinking society, thus, the fear of rejection is greater in comparison to probably where you live. To the point: when I decide to dress-up I always think of the people I’ll meet – my coworkers, or more terribly, family. I think of everyone but myself. If I think I won’t be seeing them that particular day, I go for […]

Ask a Crossdresser: Other People

As I sometimes do, I dress up to work. It’s not a big deal. This day didn’t start off any different than most others. I set my alarm half an hour earlier than usual to make sure I had enough time to get ready. The night before I’d pre-trimmed body hair down so that shaving in the morning would be quicker. I was opting for a jeans + tunic look, and was going to experiment with a lighter make-up look (and let me tell you, those few minutes saved by not having to shave my legs or do my eye-liner VERY […]

A harassment story.

Well, it’s been a busy year I guess! in 2012, I basically came out to everyone as a crossdresser. That was a pretty big milestone for last year. This year – 2013 – I started going to work while dressed. Being able to dress more definitely gave me a lot more time to figure out my style a bit more, going from this to this I think it’s fair to say I’ve become a bit more comfortable in terms of not only style, but also just being able to be comfortable in my own skin while dressed.

Goodbye 2013, you’ve been somewhat spectacular!

There really isn’t much to say in this particular post – a friend and I went to Folsom Street fair. It was kind of boring (I’VE BEEN ON THE INTERNET, I’VE ALREADY SEEN EVERYTHING), so we stopped into a Thai place for lunch/drinks and ended up just hanging out there for a few hours before heading home. She took a some-way decent pic of me, so I might as well post it. Oh hai. (Another post from the series Being Out.)
