Hi Liz. I absolutely adore your stream of consciousness blog posts. I can completely relate to that voice in your head that says ‘ooOOoo shoooes. I must have you. In fact I actually laughed quite hard when I read that bit because it’s so me. It really is the little things that can keep us all sane. Deep breaths. Looking forward to more posts!

OMG !! You have not dressed since July ?? I would ?? ,, well I don’t know what I would do, just accept it I guess. My kids are finally going back to Scholl after 10 days of Spring recess and I have not dressed in 2 weeks and its absolutely killing me, but there’s always tomorrow ! The dressing thing can be hard at times when there’s kinda involved, so I guess it makes it that more Special when you do finally get the time. I do enjoy reading your posts and I hope that all is well with you. Stay strong my dear !! xoxo

Oh the joys of parenting. Enjoy these early years. All too soon they get mobile, vocal and before you know it they are teenagers. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world (but don’t tell them that).

I’ve yet to read or hear anything that truly prepares you for offspring 1.0 arriving. I don’t mean this negatively, just that it’s such a huge change. Plus, while there’s some commonality, everyone’s relationship is different.

If it’s any help, the first foray into parenting is fraught with imposter syndrome and guilt trips. But, that’s all normal. All parents are winging it. Okay, those with two kids have a bit of an inkling what’s happening with child 2.0, but nothing is certain.

The tiredness and the disruption to your and couple routine are a shock. But, things get easier and you used to it. Yeah, all of those things will throw your dressing, but again, it’ll improve and change as your kid grows.

Hang on. It does get easier and while having a baby can be tiring and stressful, it can also be one of the greatest and enjoyable experiences you’ll have. That doesn’t mean all of it will be, and you’re a failure if you don’t feel that way.
