Hi,

Well, there's some food for thought. :-) Vain? Possibly. Other ways to look at it could include:

- We try to make the best of the hand we've been dealt with. All the wishing in the world won't make me petite and pretty, but at least I can have a go at dressing nicely, or doing my make-up well.

- We take pictures to capture the memory. That way, we can look back and enjoy the time, or maybe look and see what does and doesn't work for us. [ Personal note: so many wig mistakes, so little time :-) ]

- We take and share pictures because we like some feedback on our 'look'. I thought this was a trans* thing, but at a not-so-recent social party where lots of female acquaintances attended, social media was alive with them posting snaps very similar to ours. "This is what I'm planning on", "Hoping this works tonight", "Happy with my dress." to "Dress with tights or without?"

- We take snaps and share them because we'd like some acceptance for who we are.

I think, ultimately, it comes down to the individual and as much as we (I?) can generalise, it's a very complicated subject. That aside, fab 50s dress BTW.
